At the end of the XIX century it belonged to Senator Polovtsev, State Secretary of Alexander III and the Chairman of the Russian Society of Geography. Now it houses Saint Petersburg Society of Architects, hence it name "The House of Architects". Splendid halls of the palace are decorated with precious wood and marble.
