| | | | | | | | |  The Grand Duke Vladimir's Palace has become one of the architectural gems of St. Petersburg since it was built in the XIXth century by the Russian architect A. Rezanov for the son of the tsar Alexander II. Located in the very heart of St Petersburg, in the neighbourhood of the Winter Palace, the residence of the Russian tsars, the Palace represents a perfect example of the Florentine Palazzo style. Now this beautiful historical building is the ownership of the Russian Academy of Sciences and for this reason is named "The House of Scientists".
